The Importance of Sleep
As we all should know by now, sleep is a vital element to remaining healthy and ensuring we get the recharge our bodies need. It is suggested, we should sleep for eight hours every night to achieve adequate sleep in order to function properly the following day.
The lack of sleep is often defined as obtaining under seven hours and is also considered as sleep deprivation. Common signs of sleep deprivation include but not limited to fatigue, irritability, and yawning. If not corrected, these symptoms can later lead to anxiety, depression, paranoia, and aggressive behavior. Sleeping is more important than just needing to function properly the next day, you need proper sleep to function for the rest of your lives.
Here are a few tips to improve your quality of sleep so you can be the best version of you!
• Have a bedtime and stick to it • Try not to overwork yourself • Be sure to have a comfortable mattress and pillow
